Something new from Lenny........

The Golden Seed
https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=14183031

I'm tired of living
In a world
Filled with hate and greed
So I'm trying hard
To find the golden seed

We have been driven
And we have been bound
Into desperate need
But all will be forgiven
When we have found the golden seed

Have no fear
Of the pain of existence
But let's be clear
It will take persistence

To unwind the ribbon
So we can find
What it is we need
Now tear soaked soils
Will receive the golden seed

It's been made clear
That there is no resistance
And I'm right here
And I have got something to tell you

I'll be your witness
And through the eyes of a child we'll see
That the sun soon will shine
Through the shimmering leaves
Of a golden tree

Yeah.............I really, really like this.  Your  music and lyric are wonderfully married and are very thought provoking, both separately and as a single crafted song.
Good one!

Is it too soon to think that (letís say since a year) you produce Lenny music with a slightly different twist?
I like your music, but I think that this is adding some extra poetic sprinkles.
Iíll be back for another earful (full - earful? Never thought of that) of happiness.
Love it that you posted it.
Kind regards, Gus;

Always love to hear your voice @Leonard Scaper  :D , especially in this one it perfectly transport gently a slightly melancholic within  this very pleasuring sound track.

@IronKnee ......thanks so much for that, Tom.

@rightly .....I appreciate your kind words. I'm glad this one resonates that way with you.

@LePlongeur ......I do think I am pivoting a little, Gus. Too soon to say where it will lead....but wherever that is, I'll go there. Thanks for checking this one out.

@Mo ......yes, you're right about the slight bit of melancholia in this one. It was what I was feeling. Thank you for listening.

Lots of hooks in here - I guess the temptation would be to overblow it - but the looseness of it all is actually the elixir that makes it special. And your voice has a really lovely texture - that is the binding agent that makes sense of it all. There is a real sense of hopelessness in it - enhanced by how purposely sparse and disjointed the arrangement is. Thanks @Leonard Scaper

Hey @Tolo ....thanks so much for that appreciation of the aspects of this song that are so intrinsic to my style. I appreciate the time you spent listening and commenting.

Except possibly for the way the guitar is being played, it reminds me a bit of Mike Oldfield in its atmosphere, symphonic rock. I'd be very interested to hear this electric, because the song makes you wonder.

Possibly this wasn't the idea, but after the first lines, I got the impression that it was about somebody who is contemplating suicide, but who is looking for that last straw (which is still only a seed). 'I am tired of living' gets it all going, It takes a while before you realise that it may not be that, but you're never really sure. @Tolo is right, it has a sense of hopelessness in it.

A different direction, possibly, but still very Len-like.

@Pleudoniem ....I'm glad you picked up on that first line. When I first sang it in I knew that it would sound a little desperate on its own. But it really needs to be perceived with that second line to get the drift of the song's message. I like how it grabs the listener, though. Thanks for listening.

@Marcus Nalgaber .....thank you, my friend.

Something new from Lenny........

The Golden Seed
https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=14183031

I'm tired of living
In a world
Filled with hate and greed

We have been driven
And we have been bound
Into desperate need
But all will be forgiven
When we have found the golden seed

Hi Leonard.........I've read some of the commentary, and being myself, I have a different take. I didn't realize any real desperation.
"I'm tired of living
In a world
Filled with hate and greed"..................who isn't. I'm not depressed about it, however..........action, planning, work (not necessarily in that order) is needed. Times are rough....we are divided..........the times change with the tides.....we must be consistent. Let's get to work.
That's how I digest the lyric.
I love the lyric..........it's got great focus.
