This line gives a suggestion of a story: "Our daughter Walked the strand tonight / She Cast her eyes on blazing lies"
Is the use of capital lettering on purpose?

Hey @oorlab thanks for the encouragement and taking a listen + forwarding to others. Once you have worked out the 'February 14' reference, the name of the song and the rest of thelyrics will start to unlock....

It didn't feel right to handle the subject matter directly in the lyrics, mainly out of respect.

Definitely a song that demands attention. Your vocal delivery gives it a wonderful theatrical feel.

As a slight production critique I would have liked the vocal to be a bit more up front in the mix.

Hey @Leonard Scaper thanks for the feedback - I'll raise the vocals. I was in  a dash to get the song public - it took so long, I didn't want to keep holding it back. New mix coming shortly!

I'll raise the vocals.

One thing I sometimes do is send all of the other main instruments to a bus for some gentle compression while raising the vocal by just a couple of dBs.  I find that to be one interesting way to get the vocals to pop while still being tucked nicely in with the instruments. That might work well with this mix.
