The neckline of Night

This surreal song actually describes an inner world, surely many of you will recognize yourself in a certain way. The arrangement is simple and classic in terms of instrumentation and I think I have managed to keep the bass balanced with the rest.

(approx. translation)

I go tied to a kite
clinging to its rope
trying that my feet do not lose a shoe
trying that my feet do not lose a shoe

I cross life quickly
trying not to fall
prisoner of the winds
the moments inspire me
prisoner of the winds
the moments inspire me

I give name to the stars
illuminating the neckline
of the Night of the Gods,
of the Night of the Gods

I am filling with gestures, words and events
that orbit within me
Parallel Universe
that I see only in my dreams
Parallel Universe
that I see only in my dreams

How difficult to know how to be
hand, kite, air
and the rope to grab it

How difficult to know how to be
hand, kite, air
and the rope to grab it
I did not know that to live I had to die so many times

Superb - a wonderful slick guitar in the mix. The african high life vibe is very ear-catcing and inspiring.
The story of the kite reminds me of the book The Kite Runner, by Khaled Hosseini, do you know that book? @Mora Amaro La Loba

Thats hypnotic @Mora Amaro La Loba  ::thumb:: ::thumb::
THe lyrics are cool in translation, though its very enjoyable to listen without trying to understand.
The rhythm tracks in your music get better- the bass and percussion here is great.

Lovely piece @Mora Amaro La Loba and @Marcus Nalgaber i especially enjoyed the steady build in the groove as the kite and traveler venture further into the parallel universe...

I was a bit surprised by the ending... I was expecting some sort of unwinding... rather than a quick fade.

Thank you both for sharing. 🙏

How come this gem escaped my attention?
I really don't know.

I pick up enough of Spanish (not all of it, certainly not the low frequency-used) words.

But your your small holidays from the Kitchen did not rob you of your beautiful ability to paint a picture with your poetry. Beautifully done, both by you @Mora Amaro La Loba as well as @Marcus Nalgaber .

Love it!
Kind regards, Gus

@oorlab
Hi Dick, thank you, no, I do not know that book but I think we can connect without realizing with what I call "a highway" of the energy of thought, a way of being up-to-date, right?  Everything is there...  Take care,
