Thy Kingdom Come
on: January 07, 2019, 17:08:41
So a little background on this. I've been hanging with a few classical musicians and composers trying to get at the nuts and bolts of what they do and in being a string player myself. I have some history in band/classical music but hated it in my teens. My intention was to sit down and write some nice acoustic music. Instead this is what happened. I know. I'm a walking contradiction sometimes.

I'll leave it at that. Due to the kinds of music here I almost feel the need to apologize for this  ;D

If it isn't your thing no need to comment on it.

I think something is wrong with my SoundCloud. I don't see how my track could have had this many plays in two days. I haven't and never will pay anyone to "help" me on Soundcloud. I did get a like or two from some promotional site wanting me to check them out. Maybe they picked me up as some kind of promo???? I don't really know.
Has anyone else had this issue?

Nice atmospheric piece with some very interesting changes.

@Timothy Smith  I`m not qualified to critique the structure of this... I did enjoy the ebb and flow and the layers of sound - at times delicate and and others almost strident by degrees. You paint a Kingdom of musical contrasts.
I see no reason to apologize for posting your classical compositions here. ::thumb::

I once had 100 plays appear from nowhere on a Soundcloud song from some repost of a repost? Who knows...unfortunately  you can`t take them to the bank ;)

Thank you for you comments @Leonard Scaper . Would you rather me call you Leon? If you want to keep it formal I understand.
Anyone can call me Tim. Same goes for you Robertkc.

I changed this around some from the original idea which I didn't post here. I appreciate you listening to it and for your comments.

I've been called a lot of things in this long life, but never Leon, Tim. Truth is, my real name is Steve Gleason. I took Len Scaper as a nom de plume when I first started writing back in the 70's. I was a young landscaper back then and it seemed like the cool thing to do at the time.  ;D It kind of stuck over the years.....these days I'm sometimes not sure if I'm Lenny or Steve.  ;)

I see. A common thing people do nowadays. I'm not worried about identity theft. I don't have any money and if they come to my house looking to steal let's just say I'm ready. As you can imagine being a Smith has a few bennies.

@robertkc I am sorry I missed to reply to you.Thank you.

@A Man of simple pleasures. thank you as well. I am trying to decide if I like the 1st version of this better. Here is that link if anyone cares to sample it. That track has a bit more edge and energy than the one I posted. I would love opinions on which you like best.

This music transports you to wonderful places.
This music is full of all that life that nests within so many paintings
Very good work  ::thumb::
