Tolo - 'Full Circle'
on: October 30, 2020, 18:27:50
Evening folks - hope all is well.

Another colour from me - I think another side - something a bit more ' laid back' I guess - not happy, not sad, not mysterious - but just something built around an acoustic guitar phrase that both opens and closes the piece - closing the circle. Some 70's esque wah wah in there too and a brass section where, in my head, I can envisage the section doing those cool dance moves at the back of the stage.

Always happy to get your perspectives - creatively and technically.

Stay well everyone,

Very nice @Tolo  !

I like this very much as is and have nothing to offer in the real of technical advice.
I'm probably not qualified to say but I think your guitar playing is excellent and I like the  musical arrangement very much.

Beautifully written, performed and produced @Tolo truly a pleasure to listen to... I especially liked the use of panning creating some space and movement... also lots of tasty automation giving expression and that slow build... saving those drums for that last bit... masterful  ::thumb:: ::thumb:: ::thumb::🙏😎

Some of the guitar playing reminds me much of the excellent guitar player and my SoundCloud buddy Ed Cunningham

If you don't already know / follow him I really suggest you check him out.

Anyway, an excellent multi-faceted piece ...loving the orchestral bits that add extra colour.

I hope it gets lots of exposure. It should

Thanks for listening everybody - glad that you liked it...

@Bill from November Sound  - I don't know whether it's a 'qualification' to like something when you hear it, it is probably the best feedback an artist can receive - so I would say you are perfectly qualified!!  I really appreciate your kind words.  :ok:

@Marcus Nalgaber  - thank you  ::e-guitar::

@1roomstudio  - thanks for making it to the end - and I am happy that it was worth it for you. I always try to build to something that closes things off - but that makes sense after the phases of the listening journey. I wanted something big and snappy at the end of this before the 'closure coda' of the 12 String riff - appreciated! Yes - a ton of automation - you are right - I pay a lot of attention to the soundstage even at the recording stage I am mixing!

@MrBouzouki  - thanks - I did check in on Ed's page and I can see where you make the comparisons... Thanks for your time and feedback

This is as close as you can get to perfection @Tolo without me falling asleep.
This may sound a little rude. Perhaps it is rude. But please remember that the best an artist can do is to organize the feelings/mood of the listener.
And this is a typical side of me, that I think the most beautiful flowers grow at the edge of the abyss.
I am very interested in the rust that sits along the edges.

Family of mine are in a cover band. 105 m/f I believe. Symphony orchestra. And they do their gigs to a degree of perfection you wouldn’t believe.

All this is not to pull you over to my side. Just to explain why I react the way I do.
If this gives you the ultimate pleasure, please go on. And I’ll be back to listen.
Kind regards, Gus

Hola @Tolo

Beautiful piece of music, very relaxing and full of atmospheres-
The arrangement. orchestral is very well developed and the appearance of the wah wha gives it a very old and modern color at the same Tim, nice fusion.  ::thumb:: ::thumb::
Very nice to hear. Nice sound !!
I did not know that to live I had to die so many times
