Hi guys,

This is a little project that I did with an old student of mine, Fabienne Verreydt. I knew she could sing very well, but for some reason it took quite some time before we really got to record anything. I am curious to hear what you think of it. Will you please give her a warm welcome when she becomes a member?  ::headphone::

Pleudoniem: composer; bass guitarist; guitarist; singer; drummer; tap-guitarist - o, and yes... erm- a bit of keys. Open for collabs.

Wow!!!!
Of course, she will be welcome. A wonderful and great voice full of colors... My God!!

Very interesting song @Pleudoniem, and a difficult one, but Fabienne gave a touch full of quality.
Congratulations!

Yes, I will.
Thereís no golden rule as to the female/male representation in/on a forum. But in a ideal world, it is 50/50, sort of. But it is no ideal world yet!
Anyway, anyhow, any where (The Who), if she promises to keep up this level of clear and nice singing, (you and) She can count on my warmest welcome here.

But wait!
What are we talking about her as if she isnít here. I bet she keeps a keen eye on whatís posted here, so
ChŤre F., take a giant leap and become part of this forum.
As you will see I did the same after a lot of pondering....., and (apart from the challenges) still donít regret my joining the Kitchen. You wonít be disappointed. Of that I am sure.

Lots of talent, lots of kind people. Lots of people joining in songs, worked out together!
Be brave and do it. Please.
Kind regards, Gus

What is so remarkable is that this is the first song she's ever recorded. Hard to believe isn't it? I'd day we should offer her some more opportunities.

Definitely an amazing track, very thoughtful and original, @Pleudoniem
Hope to hear more from Fabienne, and you off course!

@Pleudoniem  What an excellent vocal... warmth, timing, prescence; Fabienne has that, plus
I enjoyed the  arrangement too - lots going on, but it doesn`t drown the vocals ( well, maybe the vocaloid? effects on the last chorus are a bit metallic for my taste). You definitely know how to change things up enough to hold interest through the song.
I`ll be looking forward to more  collaborations from you.

Wow @Pleudoniem , and @Fabienne  (hi, welkom in de kitchen, ik zag dat je je hebt aangemeld!!), that was a great listen!
Love the experimental instrumental, a wonderful fusion between lounge, jazz and rock. Great use of synths as well.
Fabienne, I love your voice! Sounds perfect in harmony with this beautiful instrumentation!
I guess Pleu did the mixing and production, big chapeau from me for that as well!!
Enjoyed listening to this beauty..
Cheers!

Thanks @Mar T. , and to add some colour to it, this was actually the very first track I recorded making use of the stand-up bass. It was quite a challenge, I must say. Now I am going to make it even harder for myself, as I also have a bow now, so I'll have to learn how to play with that.

When I sent the track to @FabiŽnne , I didn't know yet that she was investigating heavy rock bands. Odds are that the next one that we'll do may be somewhat grungier.

Ahhhhh...., the somethingís cast.
Sneaked in, in The middle of the night.
Iím very pleased that you joined!
Maybe weíll do a collaboration one day, since my voice (age and overuse) is slowly but shurely going down the drain.

Love to have you here! Welcome, @Fabienne.
Kind regards, Gus

This sounds FANTASTIC!

I love the instrumentation right from the start, especially that bass tone. And when you came in @Fabienne I said "WOW!" right out loud!! Your voice is just dripping with character....and it is mixed beautifully in this production.

This combination of @Pleudoniem 's signature style and @Fabienne 's amazing vocals is one of the best collaborations I have heard here at The Kitchen. It is a great song that is performed impeccably and mixed to a professional level.

Oh...and Welcome to The Kitchen @Fabienne !
