WATCHING YOUR FACE

Watching your face
feeling the softness of your depths
making you laugh
feeling the freshness of your breath

Chasing your look
giving up all my truths
hit by beats in the air
surrendering my voluntary absences

That look sings all my songs, collapses all my certainties, overcomes my indifference.

That look is the source of my passions, it crosses my entrails, it cuts the ligatures of my disappointments.

Watching your face
Feeling your fire in my depths
making you fly
Seeing the sky in your smile.

Kissing your eyes
trapped, born and died in them
I lose sleep, hunger and thirst
shipwrecked in its tears

That look sings all my songs, collapses all my certainties, overcomes my indifference.

That look is the source of my passions, it crosses my entrails, it cuts the ligatures of my disappointments.
No Colours for Concern.

Beautiful delicate intro.......the whole sound of this is wonderfully and intricately lush.

Pretty cool where you take it at around 3:40. What is that stringed instrument there? It is perfect for that part, especially with the ethereal vocals there.

I will say that some of the sss's in the vocal are a little hot, particularly in the line, "overcomes my indifference".

Hi guys!

This is my first ever review in this forum, and this production of yours made things easy:

I like this song.

It gives of a kind of soundscape that would fit very neatly into a movie or tv series in need of a dark passion or a sense of mystery. The melody has alot of raw force to it and the theremin is giving it even more flavor and dimension. I could see this being an “end credit” or “in story” song.

That said, it’s the kind of song that makes one feel things and sends you of into a mode. Maybe the end could be a tad shorter or faded out very slowly, but it still works as is.

Very nice work :)

Lovely dream away music.
And I love the use of the theramin.
We've got Fay Lovesky over here, using it for over 40 years or so...., and it never gets boring. It's a very much underrated instrument if you ask me.
Very eccentric.
A lovely step or two away from the run of the mill.
Kind regards, Gus

Yes...the theramin I know.....was wondering about that plucked guitar sound. Maybe just a guitar being plucked up close to the bridge?

Very mystic...Something that I could listen to. Was it produced professionally or at a home studio? Maybe both? :D Very good track ::heart::

A class bit or work, I like how the beat sits and how the instrumentation is delicate and as others have noted lush.
I also like how the song moves into another feel at around 3:35. Yes well worth a repost I think ;-)

As for the Theremin, you'd be please to know that UK comedian/musician Bill Bailey uses one in his stage act from time to time.
I can't find his fantastic Jellyfish on YouTube but here's a bit of his comedy with the Theremin in it.

He also uses it to punctuate his jokes from time to time.

THAT is a very cool thing! That bold lo-fi move created an excellent contrasting sound that seriously accentuated the theramin and vocals in that section. Major kudos!!

Hi @BLACK MIRROR ,

first of all I love the Songwriters Kitchen.... This is the third song in a row that I am listening to that has a huge quality and yet is very different from the rock song @Zedd and @Jambrains posted and also different from the electronic song posted by @Dakoda .

Thanks for posting and just like with your last songs there is nothing I could suggest to improve. Its very good - period.

Wish you all the best with your songs!

Fabian

Very cool song @BLACK MIRROR! It's unique which is always a ::thumb:: from me :o  Mysteriously haunting, which at made me feel a little uneasy at first, but then it became quite mesmerizing...maybe a theremin effect  ::Note::
I like the change-up at around 3:30  ::thumb:: lovely vocals and intriguing lyrics. Very well produced as well  ::Suzy::
