to get my weekend started, i began adding synthesizer and beats to this song of Fischermans just now again

Wow nice instrumentation DB!! Sounds really good! I hear some mp3 artifacts in fischermans voice, maybe he has a vocal track in higher quality (lossless) format to mix in? Great collab!! KARMA INCOMING!! MM 

I think this works very well - it gives the song an otherworldly almost coming-from-a-distant-planet feel. It a sweet combination with fischerman's dreamy vocal delivery. It's certainly hgad the effect of taking the audio spotlight off the vocal/guitar and more onto the whole sonic landscape. It's now more a track than just a song that's been recorded if you see what I'm trying to say. Overall, very effective, appropriate and enjoyable.

Monty nailed it with the "otherworldly" comment. It makes me think of a tv signal fading in and out - i can imagine a video where the tv screen flickers on and off with Fisch singing the lines. Some kind of interrupted broadcast of someone lost in space.

Great atmosphere.
