Weltschmerz - German Blues
on: April 16, 2022, 13:53:54
Hello to the world.

now, on easter, I would like to present you oh finally once a track of me.
It's a german blues, which is a collaboration of three people.

The lyrics are by Viktor Weber, and the vocals by Suni,
a German DJ and singer.
The music and production is by me

Here are the lyrics in German, and then a translation into English by DeepL translator.
Of course, the rhymes are missing in the English translation, but this is only about the approximate content of the song.

Of course I am happy about any feedback

Weltschmerz

Weltschmerz

The dead center of my feelings condensing at the dew point of the day
Yeah Yeah and casual blonde across the street, consuming the third Jackie-Cola
The tattoo is not to be deleted from the memory - in blue-red - oh shoot me dead

After the second beer it is no longer a tattoo - almost a graffiti
And what the pretty there babbles, sounds like latent publicity eh ehh
I'm in a daze, trying hard - just don't lose the thread
Or compress the quintessence

Refrain:
My dreams are trapped in the labyrinth with no exit
My heart loaded with dynamite, like ghost ship before sinking
There's no medicine and no drugs for world-weariness
That would be a lie
There's no way out, no plan B and no solution either
The fuse to my heart is burning, I'm waiting for redemption
There's no medicine for world-weariness and no drugs work
That would be a lie

The blue haze of the black cigarette - it has a fatal effect on me
Her voice spins around me like an invisible paranormal
My ego is shrinking again - from cosmopolitan to provincial -
that is not normal

Planned was only one big beer, what the heck - have tomorrow off
Until destructive energy is partly dissipated, it's already half past two
The world-weariness of my heart is for nothing - I pay for all the fun
hmm who else

Only the way home in the shadow of the lanterns - still has a clear goal
No more unstable double-crosses till tomorrow - a truce deal
A release from the spider's web of malicious lies
I'll submit to that

Nice (not the mundane French city, you’ll understand I’m sure.

Es gist Kein plan B. A very nice touch.
My guess is that you grinned a lot.

Schrecklich wunderbahr!

Entschuldigung.

So I could seriously get used to this half serious/half mocking approach. In Germany you do have this fantastic example/band for that, haven’t you? Rammstein of course.

Thank you for posting it.
Kind regards, Gus

Hola @Charlys-Music

You have taken me to an underground club, full of huo and colors from several years ago, you have taken me to that time when this color was born in music.
Maybe the metals have too much reverb compared to the voice?
Very good work

Hello Gus,
thank you for listening to my music and your feedback.
When the text was sent to me by the author, I had several grins on my face.

Somehow I immediately had Charles Bukowski in mind. His whole stories were almost only about his "Weltschmerz", which he gave back in great texts for me.
So I saw Charles Bukowski, a wicked bar somewhere in a run-down part of town, knew I had to find a wicked male voice, and somehow make a blues out of it. And Weltschmerz is the result of my intuitions.

By the way - I like some Rammstein songs, but on the whole it's not my world and the kind of lyrics and music.

Hello Mora,

thank you for listening and your feedback.
I like to put people in other times, to kidnap and take with me, because then a production of a track has also done something and achieved.

With the reverbs I will definitely listen again, although the track is already public, but certainly could use a professional mixing and mastering again.

Charly
