What a year
on: December 23, 2020, 13:18:00
It's been a hell of a year for many people. I have to admit I've struggled a bit and most of my songs this year have been a bit miserable lyrically, they're all on my Lockdown LP. This final song of 2020 entitled "What a year" is meant to be a bit more hopeful, a bit more lyrically uplifting, looking to the future and when we finally come through the crises of 2020.

It's been through a lot of iterations and I wish I'd upped the tempo early in the process, but this is the final master. Just wanted to share it and will start something entirely new in 2021 that doesn't just recurse D-A-Em7-G a progression I realize I used on one of my first complete songs written after I came back to songwriting almost ten years ago.

Merry Christmas everyone, hope you've all got something wonderful cooking...no neverminds, no whatevers!

Hi Dave,

I hope you are doing well though all  of the 2020 storms. I

Great message and song that we can do lots of good things "together".

You have a most excellent voice and guitar /mixing talents.
Thanks for sharing!

I love the sound of this production and the message that it brings.

Man, I have to say that I am hearing Ziggy Stardust.  ;)
"The main thing is to have a gutsy approach....but use your head." Julia Child

"In a world of robotic conformity, the only originality left in music is the imperfections" Eric Craptone

"Special thanks to Steve Gleason for making me who I am today." Leonard Scaper

Hola @Dave Bradley

Your song, as you tell us, is a fruit of that year, I think the same thing has happened to all of us, in one way or another, we breathe the same air and we reflect it in what we do.
Nice song, I really like the rhythm, its cadence relieves things...

Merry Christmas

I did not know that to live I had to die so many times
