What about compromise? (work in progress)

This is a fresh demo - hoping to get feedback on any aspect of the track.
It started as a collage with some excerpts from an interview last november by Amanda Palmer and Nadya Tolokonnikova, but morphed into a song on its own. Drums drummed on Vdrums, with real sticks.

What about compromise?

Reason with me now,
Just for once?
I've got not intention
To put you down.

Pride can hurt you too,
On this unbalanced ground.
There's no better time,
For show, don't tell.

What about compromise
ain't it time to play it nice
What about diplomacy?
Should we stick to 'wait and see'?
Could I believe love still counts
Or is that as bad as it sounds?
What about chivalry
Or am I just your favorite enemy?

I woke up again,
to find you gone.
Your mas, my mask,
Still staring at eachother.
But truth be told,
It all turned cold.

The cut was deep
you took your leave
I took my bow
I'll have to face it now.

contains a fragment from
yodakanohoshi_kenji_2-japanese classical literature The night hawk star by kenji miyazawa, Librivox

and Amanda Palmer, from an interview with Nadya Tolokonnikova 10 Nov 2020 Episode 7 of The Art of Asking Everything.

Wow....I love where you're going with this.
"The main thing is to have a gutsy approach....but use your head." Julia Child

"In a world of robotic conformity, the only originality left in music is the imperfections" Eric Craptone

"Special thanks to Steve Gleason for making me who I am today." Leonard Scaper

This is a very sensitive text that speaks directly to me and conveys a mood @oorlab

I wondered a bit , just technically, why the first two part verses doesn't show rhymes as the later verses do.

After i read the lyrics i listened your track and yes, for my taste you caught that mood I imagined and you did the interpretation nicley in your very own oorlab style :D.
Of course the instrumental track is cool as ever!!  ::heart::

May you explain some more about the interviews you mentioned and how its related?

Thanks @Mo @Leonard Scaper  for listening and letting me know.

The first 2 verses not rhyming  is coincidence. The words seemed to fit the beat and mood.

Here is an earlier version with only the interview . I asked for permission to use it but got no reply, so I made my own lyrics.

work in... progress?
