What's your pride
on: November 04, 2019, 20:48:21
« Last Edit: November 04, 2019, 21:26:50 by Mo »
Hi guys, encouraged and inspired I grabbed me an progression and lyric from somewhat earlier in the year and got me some time at the weekend and tried to progess it. Thank you board.

The special with this song is that it was started as a challenge to myself to do a song with just three easy chords as they are 'e, D' for vers  and 'C,D,e' for chorus.
And here is how it turned out after I played with GB around twas choosing a kind of Rock frame.
Need to get more experience with the Garaband tool and still struggeling with pronounciations.

What's your pride

Come on tell me what's your pride,
Feeling part of the modern, am I'm right
In your wallet a golden debit card,
to pay your bills you worked for hard

What makes you sure you're not a fake?
Longterm used for another man's sake
You don't know, maybe never want know

Hey man, it really does you proud
To step on weakers once they cross your road
You laugh about loosers and love could be true
Educate yourself? Oh no, never you do

Chorus

Your thoughts grew out donated seeds
given from others to limit your speed
Be sure it really does me sad,
that you just run your daily race of rats.

Chorus

Best wishes
Mo

Hola @Mo

Well, I didn't expect this song, this style, although I didn't really know anything about your tastes.
You have made a song full of strength, very heavy, naked from other instruments and caught in the rage of the guitar chords ...
I would have liked the voice to have a little more volume
The melodies are strange, bold, descriptive ... You could make them stand out more!!
I did not know that to live I had to die so many times

Wow! Pretty strong tune here. I really like your unique vocal style....it is definitely powerful.

Fantastic ending.

@Mo - very good! Totally different and unlike anything I heard recently. Props for the creativity. Mix wise you could try to make the vocals a bit clearer. Otherwise I'd leave it as it is.

@Mora Amaro La Loba  @Leonard Scaper  @oorlab  Thank you so much for your time to hear through it and your feedback!  :)

Right, it turned out heavy and a bit strange, I hope nobody feels disturbed although it wasn't even meaned to be 'nice'.
But I could do next song a more smoother and bit clearer style but depends at topic maybe..

I wonder how i could do that  @Mora Amaro La Loba ?

I heard back also and realized the drumset is far to quiet also, i still need figure out  how to fitt more the loudness of instrument tracks, sometimes it seemes after saved as audio file the loudness balance changed may its issue of compressing i don't know.

I wonder how i could do that

I just gave it a listen here in the studio with my good headphones. I think you could get your vocals to stand out more by working with panning on the guitars. That would help the drums as well.

Get those guitars off to the sides more and this cool song will open up nicely with your unique vocals right out front where they belong.
