Who We Are
on: February 08, 2019, 18:07:27
This song is about the realness of relationships. It's not always great and you don't see eye to eye all the time, but you wouldn't trade that for the world. That person pushes you, makes you look at things different and just overall helps you become a better person. Hope you enjoy!

This WHOLE THING is seriously hooky.....from that repetitive guitar riff to the tastefully simple production to the excellent vocals!! Got my toe tapping right off and kept me chair dancing right through to the end.

....and you really do stick the ending!

This music has a super effective arrangement
You could say that this could be a success if you had enough money to promote it
Very good work  ::thumb::

Yesssss, I believe.
And you may think I am joking? In spite of my lyrics (specially in Dutch) you may think I am not taking it seriously?

I won’t write syrupy or at least overly romantic ones, but I like it if somebody else does.

Nice piece of work. It really is.
Kind regards, Gus

This is simply incredible mate. Very contemporary (reminds me of George Ezra). This is easily the best song i've heard on these forums from start to finish. You need to get your music out there and this song fired off to anyone who will listen. Do you play live at all? I've subbed to your Youtube.

Great work Neil!  It takes some touch to make a one progression song work, but you pulled it off.  This has a modern Jack Johnson/G. Love feel.  I would like some more dynamic separation between the verse and chorus, but that is a nitpick.  Great tune!

A great contemporary song ... it seems of the moment.

The only thing I wonder is if the guitar chords are just slightly too loud. Just a bit but it just drags the listener away from the lyrics slightly.
Most of the modern music I've heard has the lyric really up-front and it's just competing a bit.

Perhaps another idea might be leaving the volume the same but just rolling off the top-end of the guitar so it's not pinging out against the vocals.
On smaller speakers it might be more pronounced too so it might clash more.

Something to think about maybe ?

Good Job

Yes if you compare your track with this new one on @Mutrins ,

https://soundcloud.com/micky-shiloah/if-you-want-to-2-11/s-MXCCY

Micky has Vox and piano chords on the intro and the balance on this one allows the Vox to be heard clearly. Granted piano has a softer sound than the attack of a plucked guitar but you get my idea.
