This might be useful for EDM artists @Dutchbeat and others, who want a way to get a fatter drum sound.

The technique uses a gated sine-wave at around 50Hz to achieve this. Chris Selim is a drummer besides engineer so he's knowledgable about drums in general.

A more advanced technique is matching the frequency of the sine-wave to the key of the song.
