Hey everyone! :)

I hope you're all well :) I came across this very interesting video today! .... I found 1:50 -2:17 most interesting - it is now that I understand the 4th and 5th lines of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah!!!!  ::)

Do you know any other interesting facts / examples of word painting? / Have you ever used this technique consciously/subconsciously in your songs?

hi @Rachel_D , great video!!!

that could make a great theme for a new Kitchen songwriting challenge, i think

write a song in which we use some sort of 'word painting'..

or..a lot of it,
i think that would be fun and also a challenging... challenge

Hey @Rachel_D ....what a fantastically cool way to learn about prosody!

Definitely pondering this concept for a future production. Thanks!

@Rachel_D  - what a fine video. The examples of prosody or word painting are very well shown. I like Ray Manzarek's part a lot

Hey!

I’m glad you like it @Dutchbeat  , @Leonard Scaper
...and @oorlab  :) and thanks for sharing the long version of how Ray Manzarek’s Riders on the Storm came about :) – it’s really interesting to see the story/ reasoning behind the words :)

@Dutchbeat – True this could make a very interesting and challenging challenge!! :D
